Toss Bangladesh chose to bat vs Ireland

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto decided to bat after winning the toss against Ireland in the second Test at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. This is the tenth time in a row that the home side took this decision after winning the toss at this venue.

It was a big moment for Mushfiqur Rahim, who on Wednesday, became Bangladesh's first cricketer to play 100 Tests.

Ireland have made two changes after losing the first Test of the tour, handing Test debuts to legspinner Gavin Hoey and top-order batter Stephen Doheny. They have dropped pacers Barry McCarthy and Craig Young.

Bangladesh have also made two changes, bringing in Khaled Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain, in place of Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana.
