Abrar : "Saifuddin : " Saif U are Beauty a winning Knock And Congratulations Bangladesh""

10:02pm A game with twists even though the hosts were on top for the majority. Ireland lost the game in the middle overs with the bat. Litton ensured that Bangladesh didn't embrace the same fate. Parvez was out there to help out too. Delany and Adair's wickets made things tricky. Saifuddin watered the tension-fires with a couple of perfectly timed boundaries towards the death. Adair's penultimate over started well but didn't end well. That was match-defining. Word of praise for Delany's near-perfect boundary catch on 10.4, where the towel touching the boundary cushion. How does one even start to make sense of that?!

Little to Mahedi Hasan, FOUR, Inside out to end the game. Bangladesh level the series. On the up, with the angle and off the middle. Fullish ball outside off, Mhedi played a technically correct lofted extra-cover drive to finish in style

Nearly a run out attempted at the non-striker's. Batter's still in the crease and points fingers at the bowler who laughs. Crowd don't enjoy it

1
Little to Mohammad Saifuddin, 1 run, Fumble from the fielder, but it's just one. Was a length ball just outside off. Saifuddin tried to punch it through cover, got an edge through slip. There's a fly slip who ran forward and then parried it to the right. Ball travelled a distance but the batters had slowed down. So, it's just the one. Scores tied though

Little to Mohammad Saifuddin, no run, Length on fourth, square driven to point, who's standing close. 2 off 4

Little to Mahedi Hasan, 1 run, Fullish ball just outside off. Flashy square drive towards sweeper cover. Mahedi wanted two but had to run back and forth while Saifuddin settled at the striker's. Don't need a run out right now, Bangladesh

Field is up for the most part

Zubair Islam : "Saifuddin has almost taken Ban home "

Adair to Mohammad Saifuddin, FOUR, That should be the defining boundary. Saifuddin gets inside the line and pulls the quick shortish ball just behind square. All the tension has been released after a gradual build-up

Adair to Mohammad Saifuddin, no run, Low fully is driven straight to cover

Adair to Mohammad Saifuddin, SIX, Bad ball with just sweeper cover and long-off out. Very wide and floaty. Fullish ball is creamed over cover with a drive on one knee. Flat and gorgeous journey to the boundary

Bangladesh need a boundary. Leg-side field is back.

1
Adair to Mahedi Hasan, 1 run, Length on leg, clipped to deep midwicket
18.2
W
Adair to Nurul Hasan, OUT, Slower one is chopped back onto the stumps. Nurul wants to whack the ball as it pops back up. He missed that, probably luckily for him. Was a length ball just outside off that he wanted to harmlessly cut. Got an under-edge that bounced onto off stump. Slower ball

Nurul Hasan b Adair 5 (7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 71.42

2
Adair to Nurul Hasan, 2 runs, Top-edged paddle-sweep goes over the keeper and lands safely. Premeditated shot. Short third goes back and keeps it to two.

Adair on. Little will end the innings, unless this is a big over

Humphreys to Mohammad Saifuddin, 2 runs, Miscues a slog. Deep midwicket in play... ball half-volleys him and he manages to get his body behind it and parries it to the left. Deep square leg then throws, batters have time to return for two. Was a length ball to which Saifuddin charged and slogged with a closed bat-face.

Humphreys to Mohammad Saifuddin, FOUR, Up and over the fielder at short fine! Little was too close. Was a shortish ball at the stumps that Saifuddin got inside the line of and essentially hooked. The fielder was in to save the single but that costs Ireland
17.4
W
Humphreys to Nurul Hasan, OUT, Direct hit and that looks out! Sent upstairs. Are Bangladesh imploding? Yep, the spine of the bat is on the ground as he slides. The edge of the bat had cleared the crease but that bit was in the air. So Hridoy has to go. Was a shortish flat ball just outside off that was patted towards cover. The batters panic ran in the attempt to turn strike. The keeper charged across, collected the ball and threw in one motion. He wrung off the right glove along the way which was cool as well.

Towhid Hridoy run out 6 (9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

Humphreys to Towhid Hridoy, no run, Same initial movement. This time, Humphreys is able to catch him. The length ball beats the slog and hits him around the waist

Humphreys. Around. Can there be three boundary-less overs in a row?
