Younis Khan and the Pakistani bowlers made most of the two-day practice match against UAE in Abu Dhabi, strolling to a comfortable 127-run win in their last match before the first Test against South Africa.

Batting first, the Pakistanis, who only had 10 players available for the match, allowed two of their batsmen - Khurram Manzoor and Saeed Ajmal - to bat twice, but it was only Younis and Adnan Akmal who put the weight of runs behind them ahead of the Tests. Younis scored 103 off 160 deliveries, while Adnan made 71.

Pakistanis then allowed four of UAE's batsmen - Mohammad Azam, Saqib Ali, Swapnil Patil and Rohan Mustafa - to bat twice. Mohammad Irfan was the most successful among the bowlers, picking up four wickets for 28 runs from his 13 overs. Saeed Ajmal and Zulfiqar Babar picked up three wickets each.

For UAE, only opener Shaiman Anwar provided resistance against Pakistanis' bowling, scoring 86 runs before falling to left-arm seamer Rahat Ali.
