Boxing results: Foster regains title, Cameron cruises and Fundora becomes youngest undisputed champ

Boxing

O'Shaquie Foster regained his WBC junior lightweight title with a split-decision victory over Robson Conceicao in a rematch Saturday in Verona, New York.

Foster (23-3, 12 KOs) prevailed via scores of 115-113 and 115-113, with one 115-113 tally for Conceicao.

When they met in July, Conceicao unseated Foster as 130-pound champion with a disputed decision win.

Cameron cruises, eyes a title fight next

Chantelle Cameron is targeting the winner of the rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano later this month after a comfortable, unanimous points victory over Patricia Berghult.

Cameron (20-1, 8 KOs), from Northampton, England, made a first defense of the fringe WBC interim junior welterweight title against Berghult, 30, which keeps her in contention to fight for the world title belts next. Cameron-Berghult was the co-main event of a fight card headlined by junior lightweight Shabaz Masoud's split decision win over Liam Davies.

Cameron, 33, dominated Berghult on her way to winning by scores of 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92 at the bp pulse LIVE (formerly known as the NEC Arena) in Birmingham, England. It was Cameron's second win since losing to Taylor almost a year ago, and she looks in dangerous form for whomever she faces next.

"I think I made a big statement there and I want a shot at my belts again," Cameron said. -- Nick Parkinson

Fundora becomes youngest undisputed champ

Gabriela Fundora made history by knocking out Gabriela Celeste Alaniz in Las Vegas to become boxing's youngest undisputed champion ever.

Fundora, 22, scored a seventh-round TKO to add Alaniz's WBO, WBC and WBA women's flyweight titles to the IBF title she already owned. Fundora (15-0, 7 KOs) came into the bout as ESPN's No. 2-ranked flyweight, while Alaniz (15-2, 6 KOs) was ranked No. 1.

The fight was on the main card of an event headlined by a lightweight bout between Floyd Schofield and Rene Tellez Giron at The Theater at Virgin Hotels.
