The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the 2024 season as favorites to win the World Series and, after defeating the New York Yankees in five games, they indeed celebrated a championship.
According to ESPN BET, the Dodgers remained the favorite to win the World Series again in 2025 throughout the entire season... until last week.
After opening as +400 favorites to repeat, the Dodgers currently sit at +500 as we move into the final week of the regular season. That puts them behind the Philadelphia Phillies (+425), winners of the NL East.
The Toronto Blue Jays, the first AL team to clinch a post-season berth, sit at +750 to win the World Series, behind both the Milwaukee Brewers (+700)who currently have the best record in MLB and the Seattle Mariners (+600), the current AL favorties.
